The Lions Club of London Swiss Cottage was formed and given its Charter in 1999 and has grown from strength to strength in its membership, hard work and dedication in raising substantial funds for worthy causes, most notably for:

- The victims of the natural disasters in Turkey, India, Asian Tsunami and Northern Pakistan;
- The ongoing sight preservation programme in Jamnagar, India;
- Education of underprivileged, handicapped and orphaned children in India
- Cancer research charities;
- Great Ormond Street children's hospital;
- Voluntary community services for disabled and elderly

  

Lions History:

Lions Club International was founded in Chicago in 1917 by Melvin Jones - a local businessman. Since then Lionism has grown steadily and now there are 1.4 million Lions in 42,000 clubs in over 190 countries and territories throughout the World.

LIONS stands for Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation's Safety

We are part of Lions District 105a and Lions Club International.
